In the early part of 2023 we started to look at bringing external process in house. Although we have a solid supply base, to be more reactive for our customers we need to reduce as much time as possible. By managing these processes ourselves we can achieve this goal.
We have already brought in house chemical blacking and heat treatment. We’re looking to go further and include NDT and anodising at some point in the future.
2023 also saw us take on a new CMM and Vickers hardness tester for our heat treatment process.
