Setter/Operator
\\5-Axis CNC - Programmer
Software used: EdgeCam & Solidworks.
Machines you will operating will be Matsuura with Fanuc control and DMG with Heidenhain.
Offering industry leading facilities, this is the perfect opportunity for someone with aspirations to progress their skills and knowledge of 5-Axis machining who is looking to work at the peak of high precision engineering.
Suitable applicants must have excellent communication skills combined with previous experience of 5-Axis CNC Machining, working to tight tolerances and narrow timescales. You must be confident in checking the work you’re producing. This is a technically challenging role, you must be committed to achieving aggressive production targets, with a flexible approach to working hours to meet deadlines as and when production demands require.

\\CNC Turner
We have the some of the latest CNC lathes from all different makes and models. This roll is perfect for someone willing to hone their skills in turning and really push the boundaries of CNC turning
Applicants must have previous experience with CNC turning, working to tight tolerances, narrow time scales and using a Y-Axis lathe would also be a bonus for this role. Majority of our turners will program on the machine but there are options to program offline if this is your preferred method. This is a technically challenging roll, you must be committed to achieving aggressive production targets, with a flexible approach to working hours to meet deadlines as and when production demands require.
\\EDM
This includes running Makino and GF wire eroders. Spark Eroding. Laser Etching.
Applicants must have previous experience with wire eroding, working to tight tolerances, narrow time scales. We have use of edgecam for offline programming. This is a technically challenging roll, you must be committed to achieving aggressive production targets, with a flexible approach to working hours to meet deadlines as and when production demands require.
\\Universal Grinder
Surface grinding – Cylindrical Grinding (Internal/External) – CNC Grinding – Honing.
Applicants must have previous experience in grinding, you must also be able to manage and inspect your own work using relevant equipment.
\\Parts Finisher
We’re looking for a person with an exceptional eye for detail, this would be the last process a part will go through before packing, so the upmost care must be taken when finishing the components.
Applicants must also have experience with metal finishing tools and equipment, some knowledge on different material characteristics and to be able to work to tight timescales.
\\General Operative
This role is for someone who has experience in general factory maintenance and a keen eye for cleanliness.
Applicants must have a clean full UK driver license as this job will involve some parts delivering. Previous forklift driving experience would also be a bonus.
\\Apprenticeship Scheme
Do you have what it takes to become a skilled engineer?
Apprentices will be put through college to learn the basics of engineering. You will spend 3 years at college with the option to take it further to HNC.
Your first year will be mainly at college with one day here at MP Engineering. You will then progress to one day at college and the rest spent here at our factory learning the ways in which we do things.
Which ever path you chose, you can be certain will be trained with the highest of standards to reach the very top.
